[2015 Retrospect] That Darn Japanese Cat!

Much to Matt's dismay I played a bit of Neko Atsume this year, the iOS "game" that had me feeding sashimi and "Thrifty Bitz" to Japanese cats named "Jobbers", "Hatman", and anything else I wanted ("Cardoor"). According to my wife there was actually a deeper game there than I was patient enough to experience (she has the pictures of a samurai cat to prove it), and then one of them sat on the in-game menu and tried to sell me an ebook. And then the gifts started, not that I didn't want a Fish-stick Board or a Cicada Skin, but it just didn't make any sense. And then the game was translated into english!

It didn't help.
