Fallout 4 DLC? Who Knew!?!

Fallout 4 DLC? Who Knew!?!

We've waited. Patiently. What would Bethesda bring to us? Would they be substantial DLC packs or just simple add-ons? Would they bring back old characters or give us the ability to kill current ones (Hey there Captain Minuteman...I'm looking at you)?

Well, now we have answers and those answers are found right below this sentence!

First up is Automatron!

Automatron
Price: $9.99 USD | £7.99 GBP | $16.95 AUD
Release: March 2016

Robot invasion! As robutts begin flodding the Commonwealth, it's up to you shut them down...permanently! In addition to the robots floating around the Commonwealth, you're able to harvest their glorious mechanical insides in order to mod your own custom robot companions!

Choose from hundreds of mods; mixing limbs, armor, abilities, and weapons like the all-new lightning chain gun. Even customize their paint schemes and choose their voices!

I cannot wait for the Bender mod pack.

Next up is Wasteland Workshop

Wasteland Workshop
Price: $4.99 USD | £3.99 GBP | $7.95 AUD
Release: April 2016

This sounds like a combination of Pokemon and Thunderdome. Which, when you think about it, Pokemon kind of IS a T-Dome sitch.

With the Wasteland Workshop, design and set cages to capture live creatures – from raiders to Deathclaws! Tame them or have them face off in battle, even against your fellow settlers. The Wasteland Workshop also includes a suite of new design options for your settlements like nixi tube lighting, letter kits, taxidermy and more!

I never knew I wanted something like this in a Fallout game until now. I wonder if I can send my Benderbot in to wreck some face...

And FINALLY we have the most substantial of the DLC announcements. It's so big that they couldn't even place it in Boston. It's time to venture out to beautiful Far Harbor, Maine.

Far Harbor
Price: $24.99 USD | £19.99 GBP | $39.95 AUD
Release: May 2016

Probably the most exciting of the 3 overall because it's a new Nick Valentine case! This is the biggest landmass DLC Bethesda has ever produced and I'm very excited to finally see mutated lobsters. There better be some goddamn lobsters.

A new case from Valentine’s Detective Agency leads you on a search for a young woman and a secret colony of synths. Travel off the coast of Maine to the mysterious island of Far Harbor, where higher levels of radiation have created a more feral world. Navigate through the growing conflict between the synths, the Children of Atom, and the local townspeople. Will you work towards bringing peace to Far Harbor, and at what cost? Far Harbor features the largest landmass for an add-on that we’ve ever created, filled with new faction quests, settlements, lethal creatures and dungeons. Become more powerful with new, higher-level armor and weapons. The choices are all yours.

This is only the first set of DLC for 2016. Bethesda has plans to make more DLC and given that, they are changing up the pricing structure on their Season Pass. Come March 1st, the Season Pass will run you a not-insignificant $49.99 BUT if you purchase anytime BEFORE March 1st, you will get the full benefits of the Season Pass at it's current price of $29.99. The Fallout 4 Season Pass will supposedly provide up to at least $60 of content.

And finally, these DLC packs will actually be playable if you sign up for their closed beta. If you're chosen, you'll receive the full DLC pack WITH achievements and not have to purchase the pack. So, maybe roll those dice?
